A strong Israel helps keep America safe.
Israel is one of America’s most capable allies in a dangerous part of the world. Our partnership helps confront threats overseas, strengthens American security, and creates innovations that reach communities right here in Iowa.
WHY ISRAEL MATTERS
What happens there matters here.
The U.S.–Israel relationship is about more than foreign policy. Israel shares intelligence, fights terrorism, confronts Iran and its proxies, and develops technologies that strengthen security and solve practical problems here at home.
For Iowans, the connection is especially relevant. From agriculture and water to trade, technology, and national security, Iowa and Israel share interests that have already produced meaningful cooperation.
THREE REASONS IT MATTERS TO IOWA
Security. Agriculture. Trade.
The partnership reaches Iowa.
A strong ally abroad can create real benefits at home. For Iowa, the U.S.–Israel relationship connects directly to the security, innovation, and economic strength that matter to our communities.
Helping confront threats before they reach us.
Israel operates on the front lines against terrorist organizations, Iran, and its proxies. Its intelligence and security cooperation with the United States helps America understand emerging threats, deter aggression, and address dangers overseas before they grow into larger threats to Americans.
A capable ally that can defend itself.
Israel maintains its own powerful military and confronts many of the threats that also endanger American interests. A strong, capable Israel gives the United States a partner that can act in its own defense rather than relying on American troops to do the fighting.
Israeli innovation is already reaching Iowa.
Israel has learned to produce more with limited land and water while developing new approaches to agriculture, food production, resource management, and technology. Iowa brings its own world-class agricultural expertise to that relationship, creating opportunities to solve shared challenges together.
GROWING MORE TOGETHER
From Israeli innovation to Iowa agriculture.
Iowa and Israel share something fundamental: both understand that agriculture is essential to economic strength and food security. That common ground has led researchers, entrepreneurs, businesses, and agricultural leaders from both places to work together on practical solutions.

Why a Strong Israel Matters
A safer America. A stronger partnership.
America benefits from allies that can contribute, innovate, share intelligence, and defend themselves. Israel does all four.
The partnership helps the United States confront shared threats abroad while cooperation in cybersecurity, defense, medicine, agriculture, water, and technology creates benefits that extend far beyond the Middle East.
Helps protect Americans
Intelligence and security cooperation helps identify and confront shared threats.
Helps limit the burden on U.S. forces
Israel maintains substantial military capabilities of its own and confronts threats to both Israeli and American interests.
Brings innovation home
Israeli and American researchers and companies collaborate on technologies with applications in agriculture, water, cybersecurity, medicine, and defense.

THE TRUTH MATTERS
Israel is more than the headlines.
Misinformation can reduce a complex country and an important American ally to a single conflict or headline. Stand Together for Truth provides facts, context, and resources that help people understand Israel, challenge misinformation, and have more informed conversations.
